Annoucement

With the recent announcement regarding outgoing SMTP port 25 been blocked by Telekom Malaysia Berhad, Telekom Malaysia Berhad had further revised and announced on 26th December 2007 that effective 15th Jan 2008, only outgoing SMTP port 587 is allowed for all outgoing SMTP email activities.

The changes will only affect Streamyx subscribers who are using the Streamyx dynamic IP package. Customers who are using other ISP’s Internet connection such as Maxis, PenangFon...etc will not be affected by this change.

If you can’t sent out emails via your local email client (Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird ... etc) and you are a Streamyx subscriber, that means most likely you were affected by this new implementation.

To overcome this problem, kindly refer to our suggested solutions as below:-

Solution 1 (Recommended)

Change your SMTP port to Port 587.
Please refer to tutorial below on how to change your SMTP Port: Switching from SMTP port 25 to port 587
